Connection to external databases
BACKCLICK lets you use external SQL databases as a source for both global and temporary eRobinson lists. To establish these data connections, you choose (Main Menu) “eRobinson Administration” -> (submenu) “eRobinson external DB.” There you will see an An overview of the active or inactive data connections, in the form of a table.

In the delivery state, there are no connections to any external databases. But here you may establish a new connection by clicking on the -button.

Enter the following details for a MySQL data source (database type) to get a connection:
Testing the connection
After you have filled in all the details, you can test the connection to the data source. Clicking on the -button will
display the information about the connection set-up in a separate window.

Close the window only by using the -button. You will then be returned to the input mask.
Store the connection
To establish this connection, you must now store the configuration. By clicking on the -button, you will get an
overview of the established data-banking connections.

Overview of the data connections
In the data connections overview, you may edit ()and remove (
) a connection. The status of the connection is shown in real time at every call of the overview. If a data connection is no longer available, the status will be set on “DOWN.” This notification will be displayed in red in the column. You will need to check the connection by editing and testing it again.
A new connection to an external database can be created by clicking on the -button. This button
will return you to the Main Menu, “eRobinson Administration.”
